Dan Hill’s Album ‘Intimate’ now available!
“After nearly a decade of focusing his efforts backstage, internationally renowned Canadian artist Dan Hill is back in the spotlight with his first album featuring new material since 1996. Intimate is a blend of familiar hits he has penned for other artists and never heard before compositions. Dan returned to the studio to record Intimate, following the powerful response he received to his bestselling book I Am My Father’s Son (a memoir of love and forgiveness).” – Tuesday Guide
‘Intimate’ allowed Dan to sing six songs he’s penned for various superstars over the past decade. Three such songs are ‘I do cherish you’, a #1 country smash for Mark Wills and a pop smash for 98 Degrees, ‘The Human Spark’, a song inspired by 9/11 which was first cut by Christian superstar Michael W. Smith, and “I Promise You (with everything I am)” which was recorded by the Backstreet Boys on their multi platinum “Black and Blue” CD. But really, the best songs on “Intimate” are Dan’s eight brand new songs, written over the past year or so. And as a special treat, Dan has recorded a stripped down, acoustic version of his classic, “Sometimes When We Touch”, breathing a whole new sense of urgency and soul into this iconic song.

“…I’ve been to a lot of concerts and a few of them I consider to be the best from start to finish — my own hall of fame entries — and this one by Dan Hill is one of them. I don’t think I’ve been to an event that was as moving as that was. Dan’s voice seems not to have aged. It was just spectacular and it’s too bad there was room for 500 more people in the Opera House.”
